About this role

Anyone can chase leads from a portal. We want someone who can walk into a care home or a hospital and win the business direct, no framework required.

Search is a leading multi-discipline recruitment agency, backed by private equity and on an ambitious growth trajectory across our 13 specialisms and offices UK-wide. Our Healthcare division supplies support staff and nursing professionals to providers across the region, and we're looking for a Business Development Manager to grow that client base from our Manchester City Centre office.

This is a genuinely new-business-focused role. You'll be targeting private care homes and hospitals who aren't already sourcing staff through us, building relationships directly with decision-makers rather than relying on portals or preferred supplier lists, and opening doors our consultants can then deliver into.

Why join us?

  • Own a clearly defined territory across the North of England, with the autonomy to build your own pipeline of private care homes and hospitals.
  • Join a business backed by private equity with genuinely ambitious growth plans, real investment, and real opportunity to grow your career alongside it.
  • Work alongside a specialist Healthcare recruitment team who'll deliver into the business you win, so you can stay focused on what you do best.
  • Grow your career with a clear development plan, backed by award-winning training and 1:1 coaching from our dedicated Talent Development team.
  • Join a down-to-earth, driven team that celebrates success; from regular team socials to our annual European getaway for top performers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
