Remote Business Development Manager Opportunity
The Opportunity
Our client, a licensed UK clean energy supplier, is expanding its sales team but with a deliberately different profile from the senior Enterprise Sales Directors already in place. This role complements them: it's for someone earlier in their career (likely their second or third sales role) who brings energy, ambition, and momentum. This role is perfect for someone looking to transition from an SDR or BDR opportunity (Or Junior BDM).
Company Snapshot
A licensed UK clean energy supplier connecting large industrial and commercial businesses directly with renewable generation, offering contractually guaranteed supply alongside billing, trading, and flexibility services through a proprietary platform.
What You'll Own
- Running a high volume of customer demos and conversations, particularly in your first 100 days
- Using those conversations to surface what's not working with a prospect's current energy supplier, and turning that into a bigger opportunity
- Working within an established sales system, proposition, and technology platform — not building your own process from scratch
- Learning the energy market and proposition quickly, with training provided
- Progressing opportunities with pace, curiosity, and commercial instinct, working alongside more senior Enterprise Sales Directors on the team
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
- Likely in your second or third sales role — ambitious and clearly on an upward trajectory, not necessarily a seasoned senior seller
- Highly coachable, but disciplined enough to work within a structured sales system rather than freelancing your own approach
- Genuine hunger to get in front of a high volume of customers and hold real conversations, not just hit activity numbers for their own sake
- Curious by nature — good at asking questions that get customers talking about what frustrates them
- No energy industry experience required or expected
- Comfortable working toward an ambitious early-days activity target
