Join us as a Business Development Manager in Home Ownership & Customer Borrowing

You’ll be representing the NatWest brand within the intermediary mortgage market

You’ll be acting as a relationship manager for a panel of brokers and working with teams in Home Ownership & Customer Borrowing to deliver our growth strategy

We’ll look to you to develop productive relationships with brokers, ensuring they understand the business proposition and deliver fit-for-purpose customer solutions

You’ll have a pivotal role as you support the development of the bank and grow accounts to meet our needs and strategy

This role requires face-to-face activity three to four days per week and will cover the geographical area of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be the key point of contact for broker new business enquiries, efficiently identifying lending solutions and providing high levels of support. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll also collaborate with other teams across the bank to provide a coordinated service to brokers.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating broker conferences, sales activity, communication plans and broker marketing
  • Communicating any changes in criteria or products in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge and awareness of the products and proposition
  • Escalating feedback to the management team for action and supporting continuous improvements to the customer journey
  • Building relationships with brokers to deliver our aspirations for growth, serving them brilliantly and supporting the delivery of great customer outcomes, while demonstrating intelligent risk-taking

The skills you'll need

To excel in this role, you'll need to have experience of managing broker relationships in a financial services environment. We’re looking for someone with good relationship and account management skills who can effectively multi-task in a high-pressure environment.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience of working within a mortgage lending environment
  • Understanding or experience of managing business-to-business (B2B) relationships
  • An interest in the wider financial services market
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
