Role Overview

This role is responsible for developing and executing the divisional strategy for the HPE Compute and AI business across Europe, working closely with the EMEA Senior Director of the HPE business and collaborating with country, regional and global stakeholders to drive market growth.

Purpose of the Role

To lead the growth strategy for HPE Compute and AI, by shaping business and marketing plans, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring effective execution, across the TD SYNNEX European business unit and working closely with the vendor HPE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic plan to grow TD SYNNEX’s share of wallet and market share across HPE Compute and AI. Ensuring Governance and Cadence structures are in place to measure and drive business growth within TD SYNNEX and with vendor HPE. Ownership of quarterly vendor business planning and execution. Own monthly business reviews and provide input to the Executive Quarterly Business reviews with senior management
  • Be a subject matter expert with in-depth technology distribution and/or vendor knowledge and understanding of hardware, software and life cycle services solutions be a key advantage
  • Identify market growth opportunities aligned to HPE Compute, AI, Nvidia DL GPU, Security Ops Management, Life Cycle Services, and having a clear business plan in place
  • Driving programs in SBP and Smartchoice across Compute and AI
  • Lead internal end-to-end onboarding activity around new portfolio HPE, Juniper
  • Aligning to TDS Destination AI Program
  • Partner with executive stakeholders across HPE and TD SYNNEX at country, EMEA and worldwide levels.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing plans in partnership with the Marketing Manager.
  • Contribute to forecasting, planning and performance management, with accountability for overall business results.
  • Will be expected to travel to key vendor events and occasional European travel to attend face to face meetings with vendor HPE
  • Provide input into purchasing, sales and pricing policy to support profitable growth.
  • Establish governance, cadence and operating discipline for the EMEA business and where needed on international deals.
  • Work directly with countries on a one-to-one basis to support business development, enablement, execution and performance improvement.
  • Drive key customer engagement and strengthen the internal and external profile of the business unit.
  • Leading community calls across EMEA, sharing Best Practice and leading power hour sessions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial awareness, business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret performance data and support planning decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insight into executable business plans.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail, been able to lead monthly business reviews for EMEA Compute & AI business and deliver key information for the executive quarterly business reviews
  • Knowledge of Compute technology portfolio, AI
  • Experience from working at vendors and/or distribution and channel
  • Working with channel programmes and focused at growing market share in a competitive landscape.
  • Excellent written, verbal and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence sales teams and work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Experience building structured sales activity and driving execution through cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in leadership or executive-level roles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Multilingual capability would be advantageous.
