About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Account Manager – B2B Gift Cards, this role will be responsible for driving the growth and development of the B2B Gift Card Programme for one of the UK’s leading grocers.

You will manage the day-to-day sales pipeline, support delivery against revenue and margin targets, and play a key role in customer acquisition, retention and long-term account growth. We are looking for a proactive, commercially focused business development professional with 5 years proven experience in identifying new opportunities, researching and qualifying leads, building strong client relationships, forecasting revenue, closing deals and maintaining excellent partnerships with customers and key stakeholders.

This is a fully remote position based in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target and proactively secure new customers across existing and emerging distribution verticals.
  • Develop and maintain a robust new business pipeline to achieve revenue, margin and distribution targets.
  • Research target markets, source and qualify leads, identify opportunities for growth.
  • Arrange and lead business meetings with prospective clients and existing customers.
  • Deliver business presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements that support sustainable revenue growth.
  • Manage client contracts, account registration, compliance checks and onboarding requirements.
  • Proactively support the roadmap for existing customers, developing and implementing account growth plans.
  • Write business proposals, analyse data and prepare clear reports to support decision-making.
  • Create email templates and manage HTML campaigns for both new business and existing customer activity.
  • Manage LinkedIn activity, including maintaining the profile and uploading relevant content.
  • Manage the enquiries inbox and support Customer Services with sales-related queries where required.
  • Provide training and support for new team members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Track, measure and report on sales activity using relevant performance metrics.
  • Manage the sales pipeline and CRM, producing accurate forecasting and monthly reporting.
  • Attend and participate in relevant industry events and trade shows.
  • Support the Senior Account Manager with day-to-day operations as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years’ proven sales or business development experience, ideally within the B2B gift card industry.
  • Strong understanding of market research, sales processes and negotiation principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and effective time-management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically.
  • Proactive, commercially astute and results driven.
  • Self-motivated team player with the confidence to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively and deliver against agreed goals and deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products and confident using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Willing and able to travel within the UK when required.
