Project Sales Manager – UK

Location: Midlands preferred | Territory: UK-wide

Sector: Generator / Power Generation Manufacturing

We are recruiting a Project Sales Manager for an established generator manufacturer, responsible for developing project-based sales opportunities across the UK.

This role requires an experienced generator industry sales professional who understands the power generation market, has established industry relationships and can manage projects from initial enquiry through to order and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business and manage existing customer relationships across the UK.
  • Identify and manage generator and power generation projects from enquiry through to order.
  • Build strong relationships with end users, contractors, consultants, distributors, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular customer and project-site visits.
  • Manage quotations, pricing, negotiations, and commercial terms.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts.
  • Work closely with technical, engineering, project, and service teams to develop customer solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, delivery, and any commercial or technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide market and competitor intelligence.
  • Attend exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to develop new opportunities.

About You

We are specifically looking for someone with proven experience within the generator / power generation industry.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous B2B sales or account management experience within generators or power generation.
  • A strong understanding of the generator market and its key customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience of project-based or technical sales.
  • An established network of contacts within the generator industry.
  • A proven track record of developing new business and managing key accounts.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a UK-wide territory.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.

Generator industry experience is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates currently working for a generator manufacturer, distributor, dealer, or related power-generation business. Midlands-based candidates are preferred, although UK-wide applications will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing generator manufacturer and play a key role in developing its UK project sales and customer base.
