We're currently recruiting on behalf of an award-winning digital agency specialising in bespoke website design and development. The business partners with organisations across a wide range of industries, delivering innovative digital solutions that help clients strengthen their online presence and achieve measurable growth.

With an excellent reputation, a growing client portfolio and ambitious expansion plans, they're looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to join their commercial team.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, developing and securing new client partnerships.

You'll manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and close, working closely with the wider business to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This is an opportunity to join a successful, ambitious agency where you'll have the autonomy to build your own pipeline while benefiting from outstanding earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals and self-generated leads.
  • Build long-term relationships with prospective clients across a range of industries.
  • Conduct discovery calls and client meetings to understand business objectives and challenges.
  • Present tailored digital solutions including bespoke website design and development, branding, SEO, PPC, social media management and creative services.
  • Prepare and deliver bespoke proposals and quotations.
  • Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to negotiation and close.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and activity using the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the design, development and marketing teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Represent the business professionally at networking events, exhibitions and client meetings.

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive, Sales Consultant or Account Manager role.
  • A strong track record of generating new business and consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • A consultative sales approach with the ability to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organisational and pipeline management skills.
  • Confidence engaging with business owners, directors and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a genuine desire to succeed.

Desirable

  • Experience selling digital marketing, website design, creative or technology solutions.
  • Understanding of SEO, PPC, websites and wider digital marketing services.
  • Experience using CRM systems
