ABOUT US

VPS Emsys Maritime is a leading provider of ship and maritime exhaust gas emissions measurement systems. VPS acquired Emsys Maritime Ltd. in 2023, which is now part of the VPS Digital division. VPS is the world’s leading marine fuel and lubricants testing and analysis company and a pioneer in creating innovative and sustainable solutions for the shipping industry.

VPS Emsys Maritime is experiencing strong growth, with a forward order book extending well into the next decade. We provide highly accurate emissions measurement systems and services to some of the world’s leading shipyards, vessel owners and operators. Our experienced team has market-leading expertise in the design, installation, commissioning and through-life support of marine emissions monitoring systems (EMS). We are now looking for an experienced commercial professional to further develop our market position and drive the sales growth of our Emsys solutions globally.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Business Development Manager for VPS Emsys, you will be responsible for driving the commercial growth of our Emsys products and solutions. You will develop and execute sales strategies, identify and develop new business opportunities, manage key customer relationships and work closely with the wider VPS sales organisation to maximise market penetration and revenue.

You will have ownership of the sales pipeline and revenue targets for the Emsys business, from identifying opportunities through to proposal, negotiation and closing. You will also work closely with customers, partners and our technical teams to understand market needs and ensure our solutions continue to meet the evolving requirements of the maritime industry.

This is a commercially focused role with a strong technical element. You will need to understand our technology and be able to translate its value and benefits into compelling solutions for customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
