Business Development Manager – Insurance | Product & Digital Engineering Services | UK & Europe

Location: UK – with willingness to travel to Zurich, Switzerland

Experience: 6+ Years

Are you a new-business hunter with a strong network across the UK/European Insurance sector? Do you know how to engage CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, and senior technology leaders and turn relationships into enterprise opportunities?

We are expanding our UK & Europe team and looking for an experienced Business Development professional – Insurance to drive growth for our Product & Digital Engineering Services (PDES) business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving new business development and strategic account growth within the Insurance industry.

You will sell technology and digital engineering services including:

  • Product & Digital Engineering
  • Application Modernisation
  • Cloud Transformation
  • Data & Analytics
  • AI & Automation
  • Digital Transformation
  • Software Engineering
  • Legacy Modernisation

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closure.
  • Identify and develop new insurance accounts across the UK and Europe.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Applications, Technology, and Engineering leaders.
  • Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Understand insurance business challenges and position appropriate technology solutions.
  • Drive new-logo acquisition, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities.
  • Develop account strategies and long-term growth plans for key insurance clients.
  • Work closely with solution, delivery, and practice teams to develop compelling proposals.
  • Leverage industry relationships, professional networks, technology partners, and alliances to generate opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation at relevant Insurance and Technology events, conferences, and forums.
  • Track insurance industry trends, technology adoption, and competitive developments.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly revenue and sales targets.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of B2B technology / IT services sales experience.
  • Strong Insurance industry sales experience is essential.
  • Proven experience selling digital engineering, software, cloud, data, AI, application modernisation, or related technology services.
  • Strong track record in new-logo acquisition and enterprise sales.
  • Established network within the UK/European Insurance market.
  • Experience engaging and selling to C-level / senior technology stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of consultative and solution-led selling.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles and large deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to Zurich, Switzerland when required.
