The Candidate

RSM are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their rapidly growing team to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.

Description

RSM are a national fuel services company which offer both public and private sector organisations a suite of services to facilitate the ongoing management of liquid fuels. We believe passionately in our products and services and are looking for a results-driven salesperson to engage with existing and new RSM customers.

We strongly believe our employees, delivering the best performance they possibly can is what's most important. Therefore, this role, although supported with a healthy and competitive basic salary is deliberately positioned as a commission-focused role; we are looking for individuals with the will to succeed.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth and development of the customer relationship.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers via outbound telephone calls, emails, Microsoft Teams, and site visits on occasions.
  • Respond to inbound leads via phone and email.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and ensure all leads are followed up on a regular basis via email or phone.
  • Build and present written quotes to customers which you have engaged with.
  • Achieve the KPIs and sales targets which are set out by management.
  • Organise and manage workload.
  • Work in a team environment, where advice/ideas are discussed between each other, building a strong platform for future sales.
  • Taking part in meeting sessions for the benefit of yourself and the sales team.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Previous experience in sales is essential for this position, although full training will be provided on our products and procedures.
  • A proven track record of success in both previous and similar positions.
  • Passion for sales, highly motivated, and an ambition to grow with a fast-paced and dynamic company.
  • Able to organise and manage workload effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Resilience.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
