Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our New Business Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the organization. This is a key position that requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales.

As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting market research
  • Networking
  • Prospecting to uncover potential business opportunities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Gaining a deep understanding of their needs
  • Providing tailored solutions that align with their goals

Collaboration with internal teams, such as sales and marketing, will be essential to develop effective strategies and achieve revenue targets.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the furniture/workplace industry
  • Direct experience selling to end-users

Requirements

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective sales strategies and achieve revenue targets
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing the value of our products and services
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients, ensuring favourable terms for both parties
  • Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to management
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the furniture/workplace industry
  • Experience in selling direct to end-users is a must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience of value selling
  • Previous background in end-user sales is essential
