Are you ready to put your commercial energy behind one of the UK’s most important infrastructure transitions?
I’m working with a team of industry pioneers building a category-defining clean energy infrastructure business on a mission to accelerate the decarbonisation of commercial transport across the UK. Backed by deep sector expertise and an ambitious rollout strategy, they are developing a nationwide network of low- and zero-emission energy hubs.
As part of this growth, they are hiring a high-impact Business Development Manager to drive pipeline creation, develop strategic partnerships, and own opportunities through to commercial close, with significant autonomy and influence over how the sales function evolves.
The Role
This is a front-line, full-cycle commercial role combining outbound pipeline generation, partnership development, and deal execution.
You will:
- Create and convert pipeline with leading logistics and fleet operators
- Build and manage strategic partnerships across the ecosystem (fleet, real estate, energy, OEMs)
- Own opportunities end-to-end, from first touch through to structured deal closure
This is a high-autonomy role where you’ll have real ownership over how you approach the market, shape messaging, and build relationships. You’ll be on the road 2–3 days per week engaging the market through conferences, trade shows, site visits, and partner meetings.
What You’ll Be Doing
Outbound & Pipeline Creation
- Running high-volume outbound campaigns
- Booking qualified meetings with senior decision-makers
- Executing multi-channel outreach (cold calling, LinkedIn, email, events)
- Developing creative account penetration and referral strategies

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
