Are you a successful Business Development Manager with experience selling outsourced laboratory services or scientific solutions into the pharmaceutical or medical device sectors?
This is an opportunity to join a global leader in analytical research, development and contamination control services, supporting some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers to bring life-changing products to market safely, efficiently and compliantly.
With state-of-the-art laboratories across the UK, Europe and North America, our client provides critical testing, research and regulatory support throughout the product lifecycle.
Services include:
- Analytical Testing
- Research & Development (R&D)
- Quality Control Testing
- Clinical Trial Support
- Contamination Control & Laboratory Services
The Opportunity
This is a true new business development role, focused on identifying, developing and winning new opportunities across pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies and medical device organisations throughout the North of the UK.
Working closely with the Head of Sales and wider commercial team, you'll build strategic relationships with senior technical, quality, manufacturing and procurement stakeholders, positioning a broad portfolio of outsourced laboratory services that solve complex scientific and regulatory challenges.

What You'll Be Doing
- Drive new business growth across pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans.
- Identify opportunities for outsourced analytical and laboratory services.
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across Quality, R&D, Manufacturing and Procurement.
- Lead complex consultative sales processes from prospecting through to contract award.
- Work collaboratively with scientific and technical teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
- Achieve and exceed ambitious sales and revenue targets.
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you'll have:
- A proven track record of winning new business within the life sciences sector.
- Experience selling outsourced laboratory services, analytical testing, contract research, scientific services or related solutions.
- Alternatively, a strong background selling technical services into pharmaceutical or medical device organisations.
- A consultative sales approach with excellent commercial and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- The drive, resilience and ambition to consistently exceed targets.
