Job Title: Business Development Manager – Life Sciences
Location: Remote, London Based
Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 + Benefits + Bonus
A fast-growing consultancy is seeking a dynamic and high-performing Business Development Lead to join as they look to expand their operations. This role is perfect for an experienced sales professional who is driven by results and thrives on tackling complex challenges. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete sales lifecycle, collaborating with your team to drive deal flow and expand the company's presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute sales strategies to generate a pipeline, drive opportunities, and ensure repeatable and predictable bookings. Identify, develop and secure new client opportunities across the life sciences sector.
- Product Expertise: Become an expert in our solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and grow a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with company goals.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of prospects and customers within the organisation, leveraging feedback to influence product roadmaps.
- Quota Achievement: Meet and exceed sales quotas, consistently driving performance and results.
- Travel Requirements: Attend conferences and company meetings as necessary to support business growth and relationship-building.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key accounts, particularly large enterprises, while securing high-value deals and cultivating long-term partnerships.

Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven Sales Experience: 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a demonstrable track record of carrying and exceeding quotas in the life sciences sector.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Experience in an advisor/consultant sales role with a focus on understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and collaborate with internal teams, ensuring alignment across departments to achieve company objectives.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems such as Hubspot
- Sales Methodologies: Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and methodologies.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse complex sales situations and navigate challenging opportunities.
- Organisational Skills: High level of organisation, attention to detail, and time management, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
