Job Description

Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Light Lifting Equipment (LLE) will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the LLE product portfolio across the UK & Ireland. The role will act as the subject matter expert for LLE solutions, supporting both existing and new customer development activities while working alongside the wider sales organisation to increase market penetration, revenue, and profitability.

The BDM will focus on identifying new opportunities, developing targeted growth plans, and supporting account teams to successfully position and sell LLE products and solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the LLE product portfolio across assigned accounts and target markets.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities that increase LLE sales and market share.

Customer & Account Development

  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organisations.
  • Support major customer visits, presentations, demonstrations, and commercial negotiations related to LLE products.

Product & Technical Expertise

  • Provide technical and commercial guidance during customer discussions and opportunity development.
  • Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, and solution recommendations in collaboration with engineering and offer support teams.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, or similar industrial sales role.
  • Proven experience selling industrial products, equipment, or technical solutions within manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.

Desirable

  • Experience within lifting equipment, material handling, cranes, industrial equipment, or engineering sectors.
  • Existing knowledge of Light Lifting Equipment (LLE) products and applications.
  • Established network of contacts within Automotive OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and Manufacturing organisations.
  • Experience in capital equipment sales and value-based solution selling.
  • Technical or engineering qualification relevant to industrial equipment or manufacturing.
