BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, LIVERPOOL (ON TRADE, SPORT & FITNESS, EVENTS & FESTIVALS)
LOCATION: Liverpool

THE ROLE
Only our second hire in the sales team. Your primary objective will be to hit the streets of Liverpool to focus on winning new distribution and growing business for ROLEY’S across the on trade, sport & fitness and events & festivals. THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking someone who is passionate about sales, relationship building, and brand growth. As one of the faces of ROLEY’s in the market, you will help grow distribution, secure new customers, and create opportunities to increase awareness and sales of the ROLEY’s brand.
As a growing startup, we are looking for someone with big ambitions, who loves sport and wants more than just a sales role. This is an opportunity to play a key part in building ROLEY’s from the ground up, helping shape our presence in the market and playing a key role in our growth journey.

Liverpool represents a huge opportunity for the brand and the target would be to grow it to be a £0.5m + revenue driver for the business in the first 12 months in role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Strategy & Planning
- Identify and win customers aligned to distribution growth strategy across the On Trade, Sport & Fitness and Festivals / Events
- Target the most influential venues in your territory including bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels, members clubs, gyms, padel clubs, sports clubs and festivals
- Target local relevant groups as well and influential independents
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers and record accurately on our CRM
- Work with partner RTMs contacts to unlock target customers
Sales & Distribution Delivery
- Secure new listings / distribution opportunities for ROLEY’s range and deliver against set distribution growth targets
- Deliver against in outlet activation targets to drive growth once customers are won
- Negotiate and structure customer agreements aligned to central commercial guidance framework
- Build your territory to be £0.5m+ revenue in the first 12 months
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop strategic partnerships that support long-term brand growth
- Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers across key customers
- Deliver exceptional customer service and account support
- Conduct regular account visits, product presentations, staff training, and sampling
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Be an enthusiastic and authentic brand advocate

Brand & Marketing Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute integrated campaigns
- Support product launches and seasonal campaigns
- Ensure consistent brand standards across all customer touchpoints
- Provide market feedback to support innovation and portfolio development
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales, hospitality or brand ambassador roles
- Strong commercial, negotiation and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality
- Have a strong network / black book of contacts in the local area
- An eye for detail with the ability to ensure that branding and trade activation standards are being met
- An awareness of and passion for sport and active lifestyle given the brand’s adjacency to sport
- Target driven mindset with a proven ability to influence purchasing decisions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Self motivated, reliable and proactive
- Passion for beer and/or the drinks industry
- Team player who can bring the banter
