BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – INTERMEDIARIES

COMPETITIVE SALARY | NORTHEAST BASED | PERMANENT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join one of the UK's most respected and long-established wealth management businesses to be based in Northeast (including York, Newcastle, Sheffield, Harrogate, and Sunderland). This is a replacement hire into a growing region and a fantastic opportunity for an entrepreneurial BDM to make their mark in the area.

You will work closely with Investment Management teams to attract and onboard new investment clients through the intermediary financial adviser channel across the region. The business offers a strong and well-established range of discretionary investment management services including a Modern MPS proposition, Sustainable Opportunity Funds with over 12 years of history, discretionary portfolio management, and AIM portfolio services. It is an exciting time to be joining with strong momentum and a compelling suite of solutions to take to market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
