Business Development Executive
W&H Engineering Ltd – Essex
Full-time | Competitive Salary (can be discussed at interview stage)
Help Us Grow
W&H Engineering Ltd is a well-established precision sheet metal manufacturer specialising in laser cutting, CNC punching, folding, welding, powder coating and full assembly. We pride ourselves on quality, reliability and excellent customer service.
We have invested heavily in our manufacturing capabilities and now have significant production capacity available. We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive whose primary objective is simple:
Generate profitable new business and build long-term customer relationships.
If you’re driven by winning work, opening doors and exceeding targets, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
This is not an account management position.
Your focus will be identifying opportunities, approaching new customers and converting enquiries into long-term manufacturing contracts.
You’ll be responsible for developing relationships with OEMs, manufacturers and engineering companies across the UK that require high-quality sheet metal fabrication.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
