Business Development Manager | PiXL | £45,000 | Remote, Flexible, Full-Time, Permanent

PiXL is the UK's largest education leadership network. For over 25 years, we've worked alongside school leaders to provide evidence-informed strategies, professional development, and collaborative networks that drive sustainable improvement across thousands of schools and colleges. This role is about growing that community further — bringing more schools into the PiXL family and helping more young people benefit from what we do.
The Role: Win New Schools and Grow Partnerships
- Generate new business through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Manage enquiries from first conversation through to successful membership
- Become a trusted adviser on the full breadth of the PiXL proposition
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and consistently achieve commercial targets
- Represent PiXL professionally across meetings, events and presentations

- New business development — identifying and engaging new schools through thoughtful outreach, building relationships that lead to long-term membership
- Prospect engagement — delivering engaging meetings, demos and presentations that help school leaders understand the value of PiXL
- Sales management — guiding prospects through every stage of the sales journey, with excellent communication and follow-through
- Product expertise — developing a deep understanding of PiXL's services, case studies and impact, becoming a trusted adviser to prospective members
- CRM excellence — maintaining accurate pipelines, forecasts and customer records to ensure data drives effective decision-making
- Team collaboration — working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Education and Operations to continually strengthen the sales experience
What You'll Bring
You will likely have:
- Experience in business development, account management or educational sales
- Knowledge of the UK education sector
- Confidence building relationships with school leaders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong self-motivation and resilience
- Experience managing CRM systems and sales pipelines
- Ability to balance proactive prospecting with inbound enquiries
- A genuine curiosity to understand educational improvement

Bonus, but not essential:
- Experience working within schools or MATs
- Experience selling membership or subscription services
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM
- Understanding of school improvement strategies
