Package: up to £42,500 basic + £20,000 commission (uncapped) plus company car & healthcare

Progression into Account Management

The Role

Representing a luxury goods manufacturer, the Business Development Manager will be largely responsible for prospecting new business from East Midlands up to Yorkshire, targeting independent opticians across your patch. Selling a range of frames and sunglasses in this home and field sales role, you will attend 8-10 meetings per day, using marketing campaigns and a database of leads to increase customer spend and area turnover. You will also inherit a portfolio of live accounts to manage and upsell.

To be successful in this role you must have previous B2B field sales experience from ANY industry.

The Company

Our client is top 3 in their market, established over 20 years ago. They have successfully created over 400 styles of eyewear, using combined expertise which keeps the company progressive. Specialising in design led, quality frames and sunglasses, they are now present in 90% of stores! This fantastic achievement has led to exceptional growth and they plan to continue this trend. The new account manager will come from an FMCG background, be structured and personable with relationship management skills.

The Person

For this position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a proven track record in B2B field sales experience, with the ability to plan your own diary/journey plan effectively.
  • New business focus but able to manage accounts and upsell
  • Candidates with a background in the optical market would have a strong advantage
  • Great communicator, resilience & tenacity, and the ability to build relationships and rapport quickly.
  • Highly motivated, organized, target driven and enthusiastic.
  • Driving license
