Are you an experienced Business Development professional with a strong understanding of the market research industry?

We’re working with a growing insight and transformation business looking for a Business Development Manager to join its Growth team and take ownership of new business across its research offering.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands how research buyers think, knows what makes a strong brief and enjoys building relationships that turn into new business.

You’ll be responsible for driving new business across a broad research offering, including quantitative and qualitative research, brand tracking, audience segmentation, stakeholder and opinion research and proprietary research products.

You’ll be working with research buyers including Insight Directors, Heads of Brand and Consumer Insight, as well as agencies that commission research.

You’ll take ownership of your pipeline from initial prospecting through to qualification and conversion, while working closely with experienced researchers and subject matter experts to develop compelling proposals and pitches.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and convert a strong new business pipeline across target accounts and sectors
  • Proactively identify and approach potential clients through targeted outreach, LinkedIn, social selling, events, conferences and warm introductions
  • Qualify briefs and identify opportunities where the research offering can add real value
  • Work alongside research specialists on meetings, proposals and pitches
  • Bring market intelligence back into the business, sharing insight on competitors, emerging briefs and market sentiment
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Growth team, connecting sales and marketing activity to generate new opportunities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
