Business Development Manager - Media & Content Partnerships

Location: Reading / Central London - Hybrid 3 days a week onsite
Salary: £38,000-£45,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (£100,000+ OTE)
Industry: Media, Publishing, Branded Content & Partnerships

The Opportunity

We are working with an established, award-winning creative production company that partners with some of the world's most recognised brands and media publishers. With a growing portfolio of premium documentary series distributed through globally recognised platforms, including leading international media and publishing networks, the business is expanding its commercial sales team. They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop relationships with leading organisations, secure commercial partnerships and drive new business revenue across their documentary portfolio. This opportunity would suit someone with a proven background in consultative B2B sales who enjoys developing relationships with senior decision-makers, managing complex sales processes and closing high-value commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full new-business sales cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach through to negotiation and closing.
  • Identify and engage senior decision-makers across marketing, brand, communications and commercial departments.
  • Develop tailored commercial proposals, demonstrating the value of participation in premium documentary and branded content projects.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across target industries.
  • Lead sales meetings, presentations and negotiations with senior stakeholders.
  • Manage complex sales processes involving multiple decision-makers, procurement and legal teams.
  • Work closely with internal creative and production teams to develop suitable partnership opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Deliver against agreed new-business revenue and gross-profit targets.
  • Develop long-term commercial relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
