Hybrid - Woking | UK & European travel

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of winning new business within logistics, freight, transport, supply chain or specialist distribution services.

This is a genuine new-business sales role. You will identify prospects, develop opportunities and manage complex, solution-led sales from initial contact through to signed contract.

Experience within MedTech, healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences or other specialist/high-care logistics environments would be highly advantageous. However, proven logistics sales experience is the primary requirement.

The Role

You will join our growing MedTech division, helping win new customers across medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences and laboratory equipment.

Our solutions include specialist logistics, white-glove delivery, installation, storage and lifecycle management services, so this is not a transactional sales role. You will need to understand complex customer requirements, engage multiple stakeholders and build commercially viable solutions with our operational teams.

Your focus will be predominantly on new customer acquisition and strategic growth rather than day-to-day account management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify and target new business opportunities across MedTech, healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences and related sectors.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Generate new business through direct prospecting, networking, LinkedIn, industry events, partnerships and referrals.
  • Secure meetings with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Service and Commercial functions.
  • Understand customer logistics, distribution and operational challenges through discovery meetings and site visits.
  • Develop tailored, solution-led proposals in collaboration with operational and technical teams.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, pricing submissions and tender responses.
  • Manage opportunities through longer, more complex sales cycles.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations through to signed contract.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline information and forecasts.
  • Represent the business at relevant exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
  • Support the successful handover and onboarding of new customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
