Our Client
Our client is a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering a comprehensive range of IT Managed Services, Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Digital Transformation services to clients across multiple sectors.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by identifying new prospects, developing strategic sales opportunities, and converting organizations requiring managed IT services and technology solutions.
You will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation and prospecting through to proposal development, commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the MSP marketplace, technology solutions, and consultative sales methodologies, enabling them to engage confidently with IT leaders and senior business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across SME, mid-market, and enterprise organizations.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to generate sustainable sales growth.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer challenges, business objectives, and technical requirements.
- Present and position Managed Services, Cloud, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Networking, and IT Support solutions.
- Create compelling proposals, service agreements, and commercial presentations.
- Lead negotiations and manage opportunities through to contract signature and onboarding.
- Collaborate closely with technical pre-sales, service delivery, and leadership teams to develop tailored client solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM records.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions, and industry conferences to promote company services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Business Development Manager, New Business Sales, Technology Sales, or IT Sales role.
- Proven track record of winning new MSP, Managed Services, or Technology Services contracts.
- Demonstrable experience generating and converting new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of Managed Services, IT Support, Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security, Microsoft Technologies, and Infrastructure Services.
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles from prospecting through to contract completion.
- Ability to develop relationships with senior stakeholders including IT Directors, Heads of Technology, Operations Directors, and C-Suite decision-makers.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to build compelling business cases.
- Experience using CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines and forecasting.
- Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable operating in a target-based sales environment.

Desirable Experience
- Experience selling Microsoft 365, Azure, Cloud Migration, or Cyber Security solutions.
- Previous experience within an MSP, IT Consultancy, VAR, or Technology Services environment.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management and Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Existing network of technology decision-makers within the UK market.
