Business Development & Account Manager | MSP / Networking / Cyber
Wrexham / Hybrid | £45000-£55000 + Commission
A growing specialist Managed Service Provider is looking for a commercially driven Business Development & Account Manager to join its sales team.
This is a 60% new business / 40% account development role, with a clear focus on winning new customers across managed IT, networking, connectivity, cyber security and secure infrastructure.
You’ll be expected to create opportunities, open doors and own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation and close.
The Role
You’ll focus primarily on new logo acquisition, targeting organisations that can benefit from a specialist MSP offering across networking, security and managed services.
Alongside the new business piece, you’ll manage and develop existing customers, identifying whitespace, upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the wider portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll have marketing and lead-generation support, but this is very much a role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, prospecting and creating their own pipeline.
Key areas include:
- New logo acquisition across UK organisations
- Prospecting via phone, LinkedIn, email, networking and referrals
- Selling managed IT, networking, connectivity and cyber security
- Fortinet / FortiGate, managed firewalls, SD-WAN and SASE
- Developing existing accounts and identifying whitespace
- Managing the full sales cycle from initial conversation to close
- Building relationships with IT leaders and senior decision-makers
- Working alongside technical teams to develop solutions
- Owning pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance

What We're Looking For
You’ll ideally come from an MSP, networking, connectivity, cyber security or technology services background and have a genuine track record of winning new business.
Experience across Fortinet, managed networks, firewalls, SD-WAN, SASE, connectivity, infrastructure or managed IT services would be highly relevant.
You don't need to be technical, but you do need enough understanding to hold credible customer conversations, uncover requirements and bring the right technical people into the process.
Most importantly, we're looking for a hunter: someone who enjoys opening new accounts, creating opportunities from scratch and taking ownership of their number.
