Business Development Manager

Location: London (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: £65k basic with an OTE

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead new business growth for a leading Virtual Data Room (VDR) solution across the UK & Ireland.

This is a true new business / hunting role, ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and winning complex technology sales. You will take ownership of your territory, developing relationships with M&A advisors, corporate finance teams, legal firms, real estate organisations, and corporates involved in transactions, deals, and due diligence processes.

You will join a focused and growing VDR sales team, supported by a wider commercial function including Customer Success and complementary technology solutions. With the autonomy to manage your own pipeline and sales cycles, you will have the backing of an experienced leadership team, established sales processes, and the tools required to succeed.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and managing a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across target sectors including M&A advisory, legal, corporate finance, real estate, and corporate development.
  • Owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close.
  • Developing trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including M&A Directors, deal teams, General Counsel, and business leaders.
  • Understanding client requirements and positioning the VDR platform as a secure, efficient, and user-friendly solution for critical transactions.
  • Differentiating the solution within a competitive marketplace through consultative selling and a strong understanding of customer needs.
  • Working closely with Customer Success teams to ensure successful onboarding and identify opportunities for account growth and repeat business.
  • Representing the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase market presence and generate new relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and activity management through Salesforce.
  • Supporting wider UK & Ireland go-to-market activity through market insight, competitive intelligence, and sales feedback.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
