South East Business Development Manager - Emergency Lighting & Controls
Salary
£75,000-£85,000 basic salary
About the Role
Newly created role within an expanding UK sales team. Premium product portfolio spanning emergency lighting, lithium battery technology, controls and intelligent monitoring software. Projects typically valued at £200,000 and above.
Responsibilities
- Winning new projects through CPD presentations, tenders and quotations
- Progressing agreed projects and maintaining momentum on the longer-term pipeline
- Engaging engineers, consultants, project managers, facilities and building managers, and buyers
- Selling complete emergency lighting systems, components, monitoring software and compliance testing
- Operating across office, healthcare, commercial, retail and education sectors

Location
Home-based role but out visiting customers daily, with four days a week spent with customers and one night away each week. Candidates should ideally live within one to two hours of Central London. The role reports to the UK Country Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years' experience in lighting, controls or building control systems
- Driven door opener, engaging and passionate. Hunger to grow business and market share
- A proven ability to engage and win business with end users, engineers, facilities management and buyers
- A clean driving licence
- The ability to travel daily across the region, including one night away per week
Package
- £75,000-£85,000 basic salary
- Uncapped bonus
- Car allowance of £7500 p.a
