Business Development Manager Huddersfield - Hybrid Monday to Friday £40,000 Plus Package (Salary + OTE)

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in print, direct mail, mailing solutions or a related commercial environment?

We are working with an established and growing business in Huddersfield that is looking to appoint a commercially driven BDM to help accelerate new business growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who understands the print and mail sector and is confident identifying, developing and converting new commercial opportunities.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of developing new business across the print and mail offering, building relationships with prospective customers and turning opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and targeting new business opportunities across relevant sectors.
  • Building a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Developing relationships with key decision-makers and commercial stakeholders.
  • Winning new accounts and growing revenue.
  • Understanding customer requirements and developing tailored print and mail solutions.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and close.
  • Preparing and presenting proposals and commercial solutions.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts and sales activity.
  • Developing existing opportunities and maximising customer lifetime value.
  • Consistently achieving agreed sales and revenue targets.

About You:

We are looking for a proven Business Development Manager / Sales Executive with a strong commercial mindset and ideally experience within:

You Will Be:

  • Confident and proactive in generating new business.
  • Comfortable prospecting, cold calling and opening new accounts.
  • A strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
  • Commercially astute and comfortable discussing pricing and value.
  • Target-driven and motivated by winning new business.
  • Able to manage a sales pipeline and consistently convert opportunities.
  • Professional and credible when dealing with senior decision-makers.
  • A genuine hunter who enjoys creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
