Job title: Business Development Manager – Cross Trade (Freight Forwarding)
About the Company
Our client is an established, independent international freight forwarder offering air, sea and road freight, with a particular strength in cross-trade and Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipments. They have a strong reputation for customer service and long-standing client relationships, and are looking to add a senior commercial hire to the team.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong freight forwarding background, ideally in cross trades, who can hit the ground running. You'll win and grow new business while working closely with the operations team, bringing the technical knowledge to support clients on complex international shipments from day one.

Responsibilities
- Generate new business, with a focus on cross-trade and DDP opportunities
- Develop and grow relationships with existing clients
- Quote and structure shipments across air, sea and road
- Advise clients on country-specific import and export requirements, including licensing
- Work alongside operations to make sure business won is delivered well
Required Skills
- Significant freight forwarding experience, particularly in cross trades
- Solid knowledge of export and import licences and country-specific requirements
- Proven ability to win and develop business
- Able to work independently and contribute immediately

Pay range and compensation package
£45,000 - £65,000 DOE + Commission and Benefits
