Business Development Manager

Maghaberry | Hybrid (4 days office, 1 day home after training) | Full-Time

We're delighted to be partnering with a well-established publishing and events business to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful commercial team, working across a portfolio of respected publications, digital platforms and industry events.

If you're an ambitious B2B sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and managing key accounts, this role offers excellent long-term career prospects within a growing organisation.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for driving advertising, sponsorship and exhibition revenue across a portfolio of publications and events.

  • Proactively generating new business opportunities and identifying potential clients.
  • Building and developing strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Growing existing accounts and managing client renewals.
  • Representing the business at industry events and networking opportunities across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Managing sales administration and ensuring client approvals and campaign sign-off are completed efficiently.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider commercial team to achieve individual and company targets.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Around 3–4 years' experience in B2B, media or corporate sales.
  • A proven track record of developing new business and building lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proactive and target-driven approach.
  • Good IT skills and confidence communicating with clients by phone, email and in person.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport, with the flexibility to travel regularly throughout the Republic of Ireland.
