Salary £35K per annum plus commission - Remote based role

Are you a driven B2B sales closer who enjoys turning warm, lapsed and self-generated opportunities into signed business?

Our client is an established, independent provider of employee assistance programmes and workplace mental health services, supporting employers across the United Kingdom. They are hiring a remote Business Development Manager to own the sales cycle from first contact to contract. The role is open as the company builds out its sales function and expands its commercial capacity.

You will respond quickly to inbound enquiries, qualify needs, run remote sales conversations, handle objections and close. A substantial pool of warm and previously lapsed leads gives you productive opportunities from the outset. You will also identify organisations with similar needs, create focused prospect lists and develop your own outbound pipeline. Typical opportunities range from approximately £5,000 to £40,000-£50,000 in annual value, with a first-year revenue target of around £200,000-£230,000.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will bring at least three years of active B2B selling and closing experience, with four to five years preferred. Your results should show conversion rates, deal volumes and targets achieved across a full sales cycle. You must be confident selling by telephone and video, managing your own activity and following up without close supervision. Experience in employee assistance programmes, health, insurance, wellbeing or HR services is helpful, as is a record of re-engaging old opportunities and opening new market niches.
