Business Development Manager – Managed Services
Remote | UK Travel | Up to £60,000 Basic

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in Managed Services sales? Do you enjoy building relationships, uncovering customer challenges, and delivering solutions that genuinely make a difference?

We're working with a fast-growing technology business that's continuing to invest in its Cloud and Managed Services division. As part of its ongoing growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to help drive new business and develop opportunities across the UK.

The Role

Working as part of an established commercial team, you'll be responsible for identifying and winning Managed Services opportunities through a consultative sales approach. You'll take the time to understand each customer's IT environment, challenges and objectives before working with internal specialists to deliver tailored solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, managing complex sales cycles and working collaboratively with technical teams to deliver real value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new Managed Services opportunities.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across a range of organisations.
  • Conduct consultative discovery meetings to understand customer requirements.
  • Work alongside technical pre-sales teams to develop tailored solutions.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Represent the business professionally throughout the sales process.

About You

We're looking for someone who has experience selling Managed IT Services within an MSP or IT Services environment. You'll have:

  • A proven background in Business Development or New Business Sales.
  • Experience selling Managed Services using a consultative sales approach.
  • The ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and business owners.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage your own pipeline and priorities.
