Business Development Manager
The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth of IQ Glass by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and expanding our presence in the architectural and construction sectors. You will work closely with architects, developers, contractors, and private clients to promote our premium glazing solutions and secure high-value projects.
Overview
Location: IQ Glass Southwest Office – Taunton
Salary: Competitive, with performance-based bonuses; final package dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week), 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1hr lunch
Probation: subject to a 6 months’ probation
As a Business Development Manager at IQ Glass, you will:
- Keep in regular verbal contact with our key clients and customers, ensuring that IQ Glass are never far from their minds when specifying glass.
- Develop relationships through meetings and verbal communication.
- Targeting key B2B clients to arrange meetings and/or CPD seminars in person and online.
- Prepare and deliver compelling CPD’s, sales presentations and proposals.
- Organise and undertake meetings and visits to our glazing design studio in Amersham.
- Research and develop new relationships with architects, contractors, developers or other specifiers to increase revenue and growth.
- Generate new opportunities for the sale team.
- Liaise with marketing team and have input into marketing strategy.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.

About you
We’re looking for a target driven individual with proven experience in business development, ideally within the construction, glazing, or architectural sectors.
You will need:
- To be a collaborative team player.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for design and innovation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- A Full Driving License.
