SOCOTEC is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive growth in our materials testing business across the Midlands and North.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and close high quality sales opportunities.
  • Implement a structured prospecting programme.
  • Convert incoming leads from referrals, website, or telephone.
  • Develop and deliver a sales plan based on new prospects.
  • Drive in-person and remote client meetings.
  • Attend key industry conferences to increase brand awareness.
  • Support with written sales proposals and bids.
  • Liaise with operations managers for contract review and delivery.

  • Background in earthworks, construction, or materials testing.
  • Knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices.
  • Demonstrable track record of sales growth.
  • Strong network of industry contacts.
  • Full UK driving licence.
