About the Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager who knows the legal world, loves winning work and has the personality to become a real driving force within the business. If you thrive on building relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and helping businesses grow, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

The Package

  • Up to £65k DOE
  • Full-time, permanent opportunity
  • Office based role with travel between multiple branch locations as required

The Person

  • Have 5+ years’ experience working across all legal disciplines, with a broad understanding of how legal services operate
  • Have previous experience in a business development role
  • Be commercially minded with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities
  • Build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders and professional clients
  • Enjoy developing long-term relationships rather than transactional sales
  • Be proactive, driven and naturally take ownership
  • Be a genuine go-getter who brings ideas, energy and momentum
  • Be happy travelling between office locations as required
  • Hold a full UK manual driving licence

The Business Development Manager Role

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the firm
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Understand the legal sector and enjoy winning new business through trusted relationships rather than hard selling
  • Support legal teams with client development plans and cross-selling opportunities
  • Lead and contribute to pitches, tenders and business development initiatives
  • Work alongside marketing to raise the firm's profile through campaigns, events and thought leadership
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities
  • Track business development activity and pipeline performance
  • Help embed a proactive, commercially focused business development culture across the firm
