About The Opportunity

The renewable energy market is growing rapidly, creating significant opportunities across both residential and commercial construction. To support this growth, our client—a leading distributor of building materials, construction products and renewable energy solutions—is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the development of their Solar PV offering across the Midlands.

This is a strategic field sales role focused on generating new business, developing key customer relationships and increasing market share. • Engaging with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and main contractors on renewable energy projects.
  • Identifying specification opportunities and supporting projects from enquiry through to completion.
  • Preparing commercial proposals and delivering product presentations.
  • Working closely with branch teams, technical specialists and product managers to maximise opportunities.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and changes within the renewable energy sector.
  • Delivering sales growth in line with agreed objectives and business targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
