Business Development Manager – Commercial Finance

Location: Aldridge

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits

Working Pattern: 4 Days per Week in the Office

The Opportunity

My client is a growing and ambitious accountancy practice that has successfully expanded its Commercial Finance division and is now looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to join a well-established business with a strong referral network, excellent market reputation, and genuine growth plans. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new business opportunities and helping SMEs access a wide range of funding solutions.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities across the commercial finance market. Working closely with the accountancy team, you will build relationships with business owners, introducers, and professional partners to identify funding requirements and deliver tailored finance solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and proactive business development activity.
  • Building strong relationships with SME owners and decision-makers.
  • Identifying client funding requirements and presenting suitable commercial finance solutions.
  • Working closely with internal accountancy teams to maximise referral opportunities.
  • Managing the full sales process from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Developing relationships with lenders and funding partners.
  • Attending client meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Maintaining an active pipeline and achieving agreed revenue targets.
  • Providing an exceptional client experience throughout the funding journey.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within Commercial Finance, Business Lending, Asset Finance, Invoice Finance, Commercial Mortgages, or a related financial services environment.
  • A proven track record in business development and relationship management.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • The confidence to engage with business owners and senior stakeholders.
  • A self-motivated and target-driven approach.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a growing and entrepreneurial business.
