Business Development Manager – CloudaraUK (Remote, Northampton-based)
CloudaraUK provides fast, reliable, and personal IT support for small and medium-sized businesses across Northampton and the Midlands. We specialise in managed IT support, Microsoft 365 management, device troubleshooting, network support, cybersecurity fundamentals, and both remote and on-site assistance. Our goal is simple: keep local businesses running smoothly with friendly, dependable IT services.
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to help grow our client base and strengthen our presence across Northampton and the wider Midlands.
Role Overview
This is a remote role, with occasional local travel to client sites or meetings when required. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with local organisations, and promoting CloudaraUK’s IT support and managed service offerings.
- Work closely with the technical lead to understand client needs
- Prepare proposals
- Ensure a smooth handover from sales to service delivery

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities across Northampton and the Midlands
- Conduct discovery calls, remote meetings, and occasional on-site visits
- Build and maintain strong relationships with small and medium-sized businesses
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and service recommendations
- Manage and update a sales pipeline with consistent follow-up
- Attend local networking events when needed
- Work with the technical team to translate client requirements into service packages
- Provide regular updates, forecasts, and insights to leadership
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally within IT, tech, or professional services
- Strong relationship-building and account-management skills
- Confident communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to explain IT services in clear, simple terms
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-ups
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft 365
- Understanding of IT support, managed services, or cybersecurity basics (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel locally when required

Education / Background
- Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field or equivalent professional experience
Salary & OTE
- Base salary plus commission, with a realistic OTE of £40,000–£60,000 in the first year
- Top performers have significantly higher earning potential, with the highest earners expected to exceed this range as the client base grows
- Commission is uncapped, and earnings scale directly with new client signings and retained contracts
Location
- Remote, with occasional travel to client locations across Northampton and the Midlands
