Business Development Manager - UK & Ireland

UK - Remote + Travel
Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance

The Opportunity:

We're recruiting for an established international manufacturer of technical products and solutions for residential and commercial market. With a strong presence across Europe and products used across residential, commercial and industrial environments, the business is looking to strengthen its UK & Ireland operation with an experienced Business Development Manager.

This is a commercially focused role responsible for growing market share across the UK & Ireland, developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing strategic accounts. The position will particularly suit someone who understands selling through OEMs, distributors and other B2B channel partners.

The role is predominantly field based, with approximately 70% of your time spent meeting customers and partners across the UK & Ireland.

The Role:

  • Identifying and developing new customers and commercial opportunities across the UK & Ireland
  • Building and managing a healthy sales pipeline against agreed revenue targets
  • Developing existing strategic accounts, including OEM and distribution partners
  • Identifying new routes to market and target accounts
  • Monitoring competitor activity, market developments and customer requirements to identify opportunities for growth
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and developing long-term, profitable customer relationships
  • Working closely with Product Management, Customer Operations and the wider European commercial team
  • Running targeted sales initiatives and programmes designed to convert prospective accounts
  • Delivering customer meetings, presentations and product/business propositions

The Person:

  • Must have experience within Business Development, Territory Sales, Area Sales or a similar B2B commercial position
  • A demonstrable hunter mentality with experience winning new customers
  • Experience working with OEMs, distributors, dealers or other channel partners
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage longer-term B2B sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organisation, territory planning and prioritisation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK & Ireland
