Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

We are growing and expanding our team with a relationship-oriented and strategically minded Business Development Manager. In this role, you will drive the development of our fluid handling and heat exchanger business within the pharmaceutical industry. Examples of our products are pumps, valves, mixers, and heat exchangers - products where quality and performance are critical to our customers’ success.

In this role, you will focus on understanding customers’ needs and challenges, providing optimized solutions, and collaborating with customers and key influencers on specification work. Building strong networks and relationships - both internally and externally - is central to the position. You will work closely with pharmaceutical companies, system builders, and distributors within the pharmaceutical industry.

Your main tasks will include but are not restricted to:

  • Provide support to our sales team throughout the sales process.
  • Coordinate projects execution across sales regions.
  • Deliver optimized solutions to customers by leveraging strong application expertise.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term business strategies.
  • Participate in joint customer visits and conduct seminars for new and existing customers.
  • Assist in the creation of sales and promotional materials.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
