About The Company
Sciom Limited is growing quickly, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us. We’re a UK-based life sciences services company supporting clients across Pharmacovigilance (PV), CDMO support, Regulatory Affairs (RA), Compliance Management and Validation.
Our clients include pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare organisations around the world. They choose us because we combine scientific expertise with a practical, hands-on approach - delivering solutions that are compliant, reliable and genuinely useful across the full product lifecycle. As we expand into new regions and strengthen our global presence, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can help us build strong partnerships, open new markets and drive commercial growth across the UK, EU, US, Canada and beyond.
This isn’t a “steady state” role. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives in a scale-up environment and wants to play a meaningful part in shaping the future of a growing organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
