Business Development Manager – Premium Fish & Seafood Distributor

South Coast Territory | Up to £50k base (DOE) | £80k OTE

An ambitious, highly regarded seafood distributor is looking for an exceptional salesperson to reinvigorate its sales function and drive the next phase of commercial growth.

This is a rare chance to join a respected brand and take ownership of new business development across the South Coast—from Southampton to Brighton, New Forest to Bridport. You'll be on the road 4 days a week, building relationships, winning new accounts, and representing a premium product range.

The Role

  • Reinvigorate and reshape the sales function
  • Hunt and close new business opportunities
  • Strengthen and grow key client relationships
  • Promote fresh fish, frozen seafood and bespoke prep services
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity

About You

  • Strong knowledge of fish and seafood is essential (ex-chef, seafood specialist, or hospitality background ideal)
  • Sales experience is a plus, but not necessarily a prerequisite
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
  • Self-driven, professional, and confident working independently
