Role Overview

An elite, London-based Law Firm is seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to lead the strategic growth of a newly unified Private Client & Tax practice. This pivotal position offers a rare opportunity to shape the market footprint of a team that advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals, global family offices, and dynamic entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sophisticated client-focused initiatives
  • Modernise existing strategies
  • Capitalise on a premium brand identity
  • Galvanise the practice to collaborate seamlessly and execute unified go-to-market strategies
  • Lead an established intermediary’s programme
  • Identify internal cross-selling opportunities
  • Elevate external market presence through targeted campaigns and high-profile directory submissions
  • Manage a shared Business Development Executive
  • Oversee budget allocation
  • Spearhead both formal and informal pitch processes
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, including the Head of Department and the wider marketing executive, to align practice goals with firm-wide strategic objectives

Requirements

  • At least seven years of professional services experience within a partnership structure
  • Ideally with deep knowledge of the Private Client and Tax sector
  • Proven line management capability
  • A track record of delivering complex projects from conception to completion
  • An influential, strategic thinker who commands immediate credibility with senior stakeholders and remains calm under pressure
  • Advanced proficiency in project management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Practical experience with CRM systems
