The Role of the Business Development Manager

This role is about influencing stakeholders at both group and individual hospital level, developing strategic relationships with senior decision-makers while driving local adoption, contract compliance and basket expansion initiatives to support wider business growth.

You will be selling mainly procedural solutions for use in the operating theatre but there are also surgical instruments, wound care products, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other essential consumables used across various specialties, from surgery to intensive care.

The Ideal Person for the Business Development Manager

You will be a commercially driven and customer-focused business development professional with a proven track record of managing and growing key accounts within the Private Hospital sector.

You will be experienced in influencing stakeholders at both group and individual hospital level, developing strategic relationships with senior decision-makers while driving local adoption, contract compliance and basket expansion initiatives to support wider business growth.

You will possess strong sales planning, account management and commercial negotiation skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver sustainable revenue and profitability growth. You will understand the competitive landscape and be confident leading commercial discussions with procurement, operational and clinical decision-makers.

A strategic thinker with a proactive approach, you will use insight and data to identify opportunities, create customer value and support long-term partnership development. Experience within procedure packs would be advantageous.
