Valente Consulting is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to sell our high-ticket business education and growth programmes to ambitious business owners.

About the Role

Our core offer is the Seven-Figure Business Academy, available as either a one-year or three-year programme. The Academy is designed to help business owners build stronger, more profitable and scalable companies.

The programme provides practical training, implementation support and accountability across the key areas of business growth, including:

  • Marketing and lead generation
  • Sales and conversion
  • Systems and processes
  • Recruitment and team building
  • Leadership and management
  • Accounting and financial understanding
  • Cash flow and business finance
  • Operations, strategy and growth planning

This is not an entry-level sales role. We are looking for a commercially experienced B2B salesperson who can confidently engage with business owners, understand their challenges, build value around education and personal development, and close high-value sales.

The Sales Process

The Business Development Manager will take ownership of the full sales journey.

They will be responsible for contacting incoming business enquiries, qualifying prospects and booking suitable business owners onto one of our workshop days.

The BDM will then attend the workshop, build a relationship with the attendees and conduct face-to-face sales consultations to present and sell the most appropriate Seven-Figure Business Academy programme.

The successful candidate must therefore be equally confident selling over the telephone and face-to-face.

They must be able to build trust quickly, ask commercially intelligent questions, identify the problems preventing a business from growing and clearly explain how the Academy can support the owner in reaching the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact new business enquiries quickly and professionally.
  • Conduct telephone qualification and discovery calls.
  • Understand the prospect's business, turnover, challenges and growth ambitions.
  • Build value around attending a Valente Consulting workshop.
  • Book qualified business owners onto workshop days.
  • Maintain regular contact with booked prospects to maximise attendance.
  • Attend workshop days and build relationships with attendees.
  • Conduct structured face-to-face sales consultations.
  • Present the one-year or three-year Seven-Figure Business Academy.
  • Build value around training, education, implementation and accountability.
  • Explain the importance of investing in business and personal development.
  • Handle objections around price, time, commitment, risk and return on investment.
  • Discuss approved payment plans and business-finance options.
  • Close high-ticket B2B agreements worth £10,000 or more.
  • Complete proposals, order forms, contracts and payment arrangements accurately.
  • Follow up prospects who do not make an immediate decision.
  • Maintain accurate CRM notes, deal stages and follow-up tasks.
  • Manage a clean and organised sales pipeline.
  • Achieve targets for calls, workshop bookings, attendance, sales, revenue and cash collected.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Education and High-Ticket Sales

The successful candidate must understand how to sell the value of business education.

They must be able to explain why investing in the knowledge, skills and development of the business owner can have a direct impact on the future performance of the company.

The candidate must be able to confidently communicate the value of investing £10,000, £20,000 or more into business growth.

They must sell professionally and ethically, without making unrealistic promises or guaranteeing results.

Business Finance and Contracts

The BDM does not need to be a qualified financial adviser, but they must understand how business finance may be used to support a high-value B2B purchase.

  • Working with internal finance or funding teams.
  • Clearly explaining that finance is subject to approval and provider terms.

The candidate must also be comfortable explaining the main commercial terms of a B2B agreement and ensuring that all promises made during the sales process match the written contract.

  • Organised, disciplined and process-driven.
  • Comfortable discussing money and investment.
  • Strong at listening, questioning and communicating.
  • Persistent without becoming unprofessional.
  • Accountable for their own results.
  • Coachable and willing to follow a proven sales process.
  • Ethical and accurate in how they represent the company.
  • Passionate about the value of education, training and business growth.

The ideal Valente Consulting Business Development Manager is a proven B2B closer who can take ownership of the complete sales process.

They can contact a business enquiry, understand the prospect's needs, build value over the telephone, secure workshop attendance and confidently close a one-year or three-year Seven-Figure Business Academy programme face-to-face.

They understand business, sales, finance, contracts, CRM systems and pipeline management.

Most importantly, they understand that they are not simply selling a training course.

They are helping business owners invest in the knowledge, skills, systems and support required to build a stronger, more profitable and scalable company.

Apply now and become part of a team that is helping business owners build stronger, more profitable and scalable companies.
