Polypipe, part of the Genuit Group

Polypipe, part of the Genuit Group, designs and manufactures products for the domestic, commercial, and industrial construction sectors. Our exceptional teams apply their first-class technical, customer service, and manufacturing expertise to understand our customers’ needs and solve tomorrow’s water, climate, and ventilation challenges. Our loyal and highly skilled workforce are key to our success of delivering sustainable climate and water management solutions, everywhere.

Role Overview

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in growing our business across regions of the Republic of Ireland, strengthening relationships with established customers while actively identifying opportunities to win new business. You’ll manage and develop a portfolio of merchant partners and contractors, using your understanding of the construction sector to uncover opportunities, expand the Genuit Group product offering, and build a strong pipeline of future projects. It’s a role that offers plenty of autonomy and combines strategic account development with hands-on relationship building, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on our growth within the Republic of Ireland.

Who Could This Opportunity Suit?

This could be a great opportunity if you already have experience within plumbing, drainage, or related construction product sectors and are looking for a role where you can put your product knowledge and customer relationships to use in a field-based sales position. We’d also be keen to hear from people currently working in internal sales within builders’ merchants who understand the construction market, enjoy developing customer relationships, and are ready to take the next step into external sales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
