The Opportunity
Our client is a growing service provider operating within the UK property sector. The business works with mortgage brokers, estate agencies, and other property professionals to help improve the customer journey, create additional revenue opportunities, and reduce operational pressure.
They are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and secure new business partners.
This is a dedicated new-business role. The successful candidate will generate their own opportunities, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and take prospective partners through the full sales process—from initial contact and discovery through to commercial agreement and activation.
Once a new partner has been successfully onboarded and handed over to the relevant account management team, the Business Development Manager will return their focus to new-business acquisition and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and convert new mortgage broker, estate agency, and property-sector partners.
- Generate leads through outbound sales activity, networking, referrals, industry events, and marketing follow-up.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified new-business opportunities.
- Manage prospects from initial contact through to signed commercial agreement.
- Conduct discovery calls, demonstrations, presentations, and commercial discussions.
- Understand prospective partners’ needs and present tailored, solution-focused proposals.
- Clearly communicate the commercial and operational value of the company’s services.
- Develop strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reports, and sales forecasts.
- Represent the business professionally at industry events and networking opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover and onboarding experience for new partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
