Business Development Manager - East Anglia/ Essex
Imex Ceramic is a Global manufacturer of Bathroom products including Ceramic, baths, and furniture products. We hold high stock levels across two locations which are based in the Southeast and Midlands regions. The Directors at Imex are looking for a motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join the existing sales team, which will include; finding new opportunities and driving growth within the given sales area, managing the pricing strategy within the area, creating relationships at all levels of the area’s customer base, actioning clear and effective presentations to gain sales and brand identity, using CRM tools to evaluate your area and call plan effectively. Building relationships at principle level is vital, as well as understanding the buying groups agreements to ensure clarity across all customer types.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be required to look after and develop all sales, provide detailed sales analysis, and develop further opportunities and growth.
- You will report into the National Sales Manager and will work closely with the National Sales Director to create a platform to build sales.
- Reviewing sales figures for the area and delivering an ambitious yet realistic growth strategy.
- Delivering a professional and effective presentation to the customer base to grow sales and the brand identity.
- Building strong relationships with the key principles and large target customers.
- Understanding the different offerings & terms available throughout our customer types.
- Bringing on new customers within the Retail and Independent merchant sector
- Gain display space throughout the customer base.
- Gaining market knowledge to understand how we can increase market share and always looking for new opportunities.
- Keeping a close track on competitor pricing to maintain a competitive market position.

Skills and Qualifications required:
- The ability to be able to work effectively with sales and CRM software, working with spreadsheets and creating effective presentations.
- Good planning and forecasting skills.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Trustworthiness and commitment, always maintaining confidentiality.
- A team player who will work closely with the wider Sales Team and internal teams to achieve the best results.
- Have Flexibility and the ability to compromise, accepting feedback and input from other departments.

Reporting Procedure:
The Business Development Manager reports directly to the National Sales Manager.
Salary and Additional Benefits:
- 25 days Holiday, plus bank holidays

Core Working Hours:
08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
A very flexible approach to these hours is required to ensure all tasks and projects are completed and customer communication has been actioned.
