This is a front-line growth opportunity where your deals, relationships and ideas will directly influence the success of a specialist property finance lender on a serious growth journey.
About the Company
Our client is a privately backed specialist property finance lender with strong institutional support and a clear ambition to scale aggressively. The culture is entrepreneurial, commercial and hands-on. Decisions are made quickly; ideas are welcomed, and performance is rewarded.
About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for originating and growing lending volumes across the North and Midlands. You will focus heavily on development finance and heavy refurbishment propositions while maintaining a balanced loan book with bridging transactions. Beyond origination, you will play a genuine role in shaping the future of the business by contributing to product development, marketing ideas, funding strategy and internal process improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
