Background

Bayes Business School is seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen corporate engagement and commercial partnerships. Based within Academic Operations, the role will identify and develop opportunities aligned with the School’s strategic priorities, including executive education, research collaboration, sponsorship, and student recruitment. The postholder will build relationships with senior corporate stakeholders, position the School as a strategic partner, and generate sustainable commercial income and value for corporate clients and the School.

Responsibilities

  • Develop corporate relationships to generate student recruitment opportunities, including employer-sponsored students and executive learners.
  • Build and manage a structured corporate pipeline, plan targeted outreach, and maintain accurate records.
  • Engage senior HR, Talent, and Learning stakeholders, representing the School externally, identifying new partnership opportunities, and working collaboratively with academic, recruitment, admissions, and marketing teams to support recruitment growth and School targets.

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B business development, sales, and partnership development.
  • Experience in executive education, higher education, or a Business School environment is desirable.
  • Experience building corporate pipelines, managing relationships, and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, influencing, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
